Measure roughly, get a number. No card, no signup, nothing sent or stored.

Runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to us.

Add up every bed you want mulched. Length times width for each.

Mulch depth

2 inches to refresh, 3 inches for bare beds. More than 3 inches can smother roots.

Bare patches or a whole lawn. Leave it at 0 if you aren't laying sod.

What this can't do. It's a guide, not a measured quote. It doesn't see slopes, trees, bad soil, or the odd corner behind the shed. Mulch settles and varies by type. If your numbers land near a cap, tell us in the job brief and we'll check in person before we start.

How we figure it

  • Mulch: area in square feet, times depth in inches divided by 12 (to get feet), divided by 27 (cubic feet in a cubic yard). Example: 320 sq ft at 3 inches is 320 × 0.25 ÷ 27, about 3 cubic yards.
  • Sod: area in square feet divided by 450, rounded up. We use 450 sq ft per pallet. Your supplier’s pallets may be different. Check with your supplier.
  • Plans: we compare your lawn area to the caps, 10,000 sq ft for three of the plans and 20,000 for the big-lot plan.
